016-749 JCL Syntax Error RAP
016-749 The PJL/XPJL detected a print language that cannot be printed.
Procedure
Perform the steps that follow:
1. Advise the customer to:
a. Use the printer driver of the machine to print.
b. Not use ContentsBridge to print a PDF file.
c. Request the other party to resend the internet fax document using a print language that can be printed by the machine.
2. If the fault persists, reload the software, GP 4.

Имеем большой цветной лазерный Xerox. Поставили дрова, пытаемся печатать — очередь документов пустая, а принтер ничего не напечатал. А в родной утилите списка выполненых заданий строчка «Job Canceled By System«, Fault Code 016-749. Оказывается, это значит, что мы используем драйвер PostScript, а аппарат оказался не готов с ним работать. Решение — установить драйвер PCL, тогда ксерокс начнёт наконец печатать. Для драйвера инсталлятор тот же, просто при установке надо вместо «Postscript (recommended)» выбрать «PCL6», драйвера не хранятся в инсталляторе, они подкачиваются из интернета при установке.

My client has a Xerox WorkCentre 7435. The Low Voltage Power Supply failed and was replaced by an authorized Xerox service provider/supplier. Now the client is unable to print. Initially the IP address was incorrect, but now I keep getting a 016-749 error when trying to do a test print.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure this out?
