4.2 Electrical system of direct current driving electric forklift truck (Fig.2-42) (Fig.2-42) 4.2.1 Forklift traction is AC variable-frequency motor, steering is AC variable-frequency motor controller, the dashboard display screen and AC drives adopes products from Curtis, the world’s leading supplier of electric vehicle system in the United States. The adopted AC variable-frequency motor is high efficient, durable and maintenance free, basically because it has no DC motor commutator (commutator can limit the acceleration performance of truck, especially in high speed situation, it will limit braking torque), so its accelerating ability is faster.

brake can be achieved by properly releasing the accelerating pedal. The presenting back of electric power to battery prolongs the one-charge-travelling distance of it. 4、 Function of backward slip preventation on slope, when the vehicle is stopped on slope,it will slip downward the slop acceleratedly if hand brake or food brake pedal is released. The function of backward slip preventation can prevent the phenomenon of slipping downward acceleratedly and ensure that electric forklift slips downward uniformly with a low speed.

Hi everyone, I got a Chinese electric forklift (2013 Noblelift FE4f16AC) that i bought that supposedly was working but had a «bad cell» which made it not work
I checked it and replaced the bad cell, but still nothing works and i just get 2 codes on the display which says » alarm 38 node 2″ and «alarm 18 node 5»

I tried to search everywhere for what those codes mean and i cant find anything, no owner manuals, no code list nothing, its like that model doesn’t even exist

as a last resort I found this forum and i thought I would post here in case someone here might know something about it

Thanks in advance

hi thoose trucks uses curtis controller or zapi, just search manual by controller model

I don’t know if yo7 realise this but the battery on an electric forklift is part of the ballast weight needed so the truck can safely lift items up to the maximin capacity of the truck. If the battery has been changed for 4x batteries which will weigh significantly less than the original battery the truck cannot then be safely and legally used

Just an update in case anyone runs into the same problem, i contacted Noblelift north America, and the guy stated that he doesnt have info on units older than 2017 but he will contact the manufacture and get back to me, to which he did a day later and he stated that those codes are related to a battery issue.

i didnt want to pay a huge amount on a battery before verifying the problem, but I thought why not try to use deep cycle 12v car/rv battery to which i did and then the forklift started working without problem, i bought 4 new deep cycle size 29 battery and currently using those to run the forklift, i know the capacity wont be anywhere close to original battery but concidering the very low usage of the forklift that i need they are working great
