Windows Server 2012 R2 install — Error code: 80070570

I’m trying to install WS2012 R2 on a virtual machine with the following specs:
- RAM: 1024 MB
- GPU memory: 128 MB (both 2D and 3D accelerating turned on, but tried turning them off too)
- Disk space: 50 GB
- …whatever more information you need, let me know
So I’m getting this error message every single time trying to install ANY versions of WS2012 R2 (core, gui, datacenter with gui, …). I tried downloading the iso multiple times using different browsers on different machines, also tried using Microsoft
Download Manager, checking out forum topics cause I saw a lot of other people had the same problem but nothing helped. Do you have any ideas what went wrong?edit: I was able to install it before on the same machine but I can’t remember how I did it. I had the exact same problem so there’s a solution for sure but I can’t remember it.

Run System File Checker to replace potentially corrupted system files.
3] Run DISM to repair broken Windows Update client
DISM will replace potentially corrupted or missing system files with good ones. However, if your Windows Update client is already broken, you will be prompted to use a running Windows installation as the repair source or use a Windows side-by-side folder from a network share, as the source of the files.
You will then be required to run the following command instead:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:RepairSourceWindows /LimitAccess
Here you have to replace the C:RepairSourceWindows placeholder with the location of your repair source.
Once the process is complete, DISM will create a log file in %windir%/Logs/CBS/CBS.log and capture any issues that the tool finds or fixes.
4] Manually Reset Windows Update Components to default
Use the Reset Windows Update Agent Tool and see if it helps you. This PowerShell script will help you Reset Windows Update Client. See this post if you want to manually reset each Windows Update components to default.
5] Download the update from Microsoft Update Catalog
This solution entails you manually download from the Microsoft Update Catalog, the update that is failing to install and consequently triggering the error and then install the update on your Windows 10 PC.

During an operating system deployment using SCCM 2012, you received the error code 0x80070570 at the beginning of the Task Sequence.
Numerous errors and warnings are showing in SMSTS.log :
- ThreadToResolveAndExecuteTaskSequence failed. Code(0x80070570)
- Failed to create C:_SMSTaskSequence (1392)
- The TSM directories could not be created at this time (80070570)
- uRet == ERROR_ALREADY_EXISTS, HRESULT=80070570 (e:nts_sccm_releasesmsframeworktscoreutils.cpp,1903)
Cause
The SCCM 2012 0x80070570 error is translated to : The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
This issue is completely external to SCCM 2012. If you try to launch the Windows installation from the CDROM, you will get the same error.
It’s probable that your computer has been incorrectly shutdown and Windows wants to do a check disk at the next reboot.
How to fix SCCM 2012 0x80070570 Error
You have 2 options to fix this error
Option #1 | Chkdsk
- Boot the machine and let Windows complete the checkdisk process
- Reboot the computer and restart the Task Sequence
Option #2 | DiskPart
- Clean the partitions on the disks using Diskpart. This will delete all content on the drive.
- Open an elevated command prompt
- Enter the following commands :
- Diskpart
- List disk
- Select your disk
- Sel disk 0
- Select your primary partition
- Sel part 1
- Clean
- Your partition is now deleted
- Reboot your computer and relaunch the Task Sequence, it shoud run fine. If not, you can delete all other partition by redoing the Diskpart process

Hi,
I get the «Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570» message when I try to install the data center edition of my Win 2K12R2 eval media on my Workstation 10 machine. I’ve build Windows 7 machines OK.
I’ve tried pretty much everything i could find on the web:
I’ve downloaded the ISO multiple times from different machines and browsers
I’ve copied the file locally
I’ve tried custom installs with «I will install the OS later», and with the guest OS as Server 2012 as well as Hyper V
I’ve tried with the hardware compatibility down to version 9 and removed and re-added the CD ROM
The VM has 2GB RAM
1 processor, 2 cores per processor
My host is Win 7 Ultimate x64
I’m fresh out of ideas 
Any help much appreciated.
