2011 ST10
We have a program integrity error alarm 250 and 214. I have dealt with this in the past with our mills, the corrupt program has always had a symbol next to so it is easy to find. I dump all the programs and reload all except the bad one. This time on the other hand their was no obvious corrupt program in the program list. I copied all the programs to a USB, deleted all the programs on the lathe, reloaded the programs. One program showed a naming error and did not load. I assumed that was the bad program. I was still getting the same errors though so deleted all again. This time I only reloaded one program, still getting the errors no matter what «one» program I load…Any thoughts?VF2, VF5, ST10, MINIMILL, MINIMILL2,

Thanks Haastec,
Did that. decided to delete the O9997 VQC LATHE program. But first I looked on the USB stick that came with the lathe to make sure that the program was on that and it is not. Or maybe I am just not looking in the right place?? There are all the probing programs for the mills but nothing for the lathe. It is the right USB stick because the serial numbers are right. So I made a copy of the O09997 program, saved that, deleted it from the lathe. Still have the 250 alarm. Could it be a software issue?VF2, VF5, ST10, MINIMILL, MINIMILL2,

Probably no consolation to know that I have several times on both mill and lathe had to get the machine software reloaded. Most times it is possible to solve the Program Integrity problem by downloading, and deleting all the programs then reloading but not always.
An open mind is a virtue…so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

I’m thinking that may be the problem and the solution. I am assuming that reloading the software is something I will have to call the HFO to do.VF2, VF5, ST10, MINIMILL, MINIMILL2,

Two year old thread I know, but Teacherjons reply was a reminder to me to post the resolution to the problem we were having back then. Geof was correct, we needed to have the software reloaded. That solved the issue. Thanks Geof !

Thanks for your video.
In our workshop we have a Haas VF6 milling machine for 1998,recently we changed the backup battery and after that we faces a problem, the machine stops in booting up by showing the Haas logo and after that we can’t do anything ,have you got any solution or recommendation for that ?

Can you just leave the plug in jumper battery installed and not have to solder in a new battery? I have a dual battery plug in, trying to eliminate removing old soldered in battery

Thanks, Great tutorial worked really well for my Haas Mini Mill. I lost all battery power during Covid lockdown. Replaced battery with new holder and used Haas back up usb found in the rear door. Only difference for me was I had to change ‘1stinstall’ to how my files were named which was ‘serial number + date’ then worked a treat. Also I had the count down running ready to auto power off. If you keep pressing keys this keeps resetting to 15 seconds, allowing you to enter the information. Saved me £1000! Haas call out charge.

Is there any Combination of buttons that allow me to load my floppy disk? I have a haas VF4 SS
Only button i can push is “ list prog” but after that i can no able to do anything else. Im thinking maybe combinations of buttons, please help

You know what would make the job a thousand times easier and not require a service tech? One more 4 pin connector and clip mount to hold the battery. Stupid design intended to force a service call when the battery goes dead.

I work in a machine shop. I operate two haas cncs. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you for making these videos. I just lost all of my programs and the changes I made to those programs. I don’t want to rant but my entire way of making money can be shut down by a battery. I’m not a master machinist. I need my machine to start up and make parts. Again thank you!

On my HAAS provided USB backup I have no files anywhere labeled 1stInstall…. sigh… I do have a backup folder on it with 5 files labeled

(where 3085565 is the serial number of my machine) are these the required files ?

I cannot believe that Haas designed the controller with volatile memory. What a joke. 2011 model MiniMill, it will reload everything from the USB, except for the most important, the parameters. Haas is telling me that I am not in the correct screen for loading parameters. Any ideas?
