Hresult 0x800736fd ошибка

I’m building a managed DLL that is bundled in an MSI along with the appropriately signed catalog. MSI installation fails reporting the assembly name, processorArchitecture, etc. Running MSIEXEC with verbose logging, the following is shown:

I’ve seen numerous report stating that HRESULT 0x800736FD is an internal error and suggests running the Windows System Update Readiness tool. I’ve done this but it’s no different.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the managed DLL since I can manually install it into the GAC using gacutil.

This is driving me bonkers.

Попробую описать более подробно.

Поставил Вин 7 х32 пару дней назад, всё установил, всё работало прекрасно. Сегодня попробовал поставить MapInfo 9.5, полоска дошла до конца и выдало ошибку Ошибка при установке сборки HRESULR: 0x800736FD. Попробовал поставить более новую версию, но таже фигня. Тогда попробовал поставить ради эксперимента пару других программ, результат тотже, единственное что в некоторых программах помими Ошибка при установке сборки HRESULR: 0x800736FD в начале строки писало ошибка 1935.

Стал лазать по инету, нашел совет переустановить Microsoft visual C++. Ага, удалиться то он удалился, а вот поставить не удалось, та же ошибка.

Нашел другой совет, типа зайдите во Включение или отключение компонентов виндовс и поставьте галочку на Net framework если не стоит, так у меня вообще там пусто, неодной строчки нет.

Прям не знаю что делать, Винду переустанавливать? Так ведь вроде два дня назад тока поставил, а вдруг переустановлю и опять такая же хрень будет…

I truly hope I can get help from the experts here. I have been trying on my own, for nearly two weeks to install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express x64 but keep getting the same error and always at the same step. I’ve tried many solutions out there in the forums
but nothing has worked to date. The goal is to be able to use Sage Act! Pro 2012 which also comes with .Net 3.5 and MS SQL Server 2008 R2 Express. I can install Act! but obviously cannot use it without SQL.

Hardware: HP Envy17 Notebook PC
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 / 64-bit

The specific error during the installation is:

Then it is followed by this message;

The installation always hangs at this step: ExecuteStandardTimingsWorkflow

I have tried the many solutions out there but none has been successful;

1) Added the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControl >Key:RegistrySizeLimit >Type:REG_DWORD >Value:0xFFFFFF + reboot and SFC / scannow
2) Downgraded from .Net 4 to .Net3.5 (some forums indicated incompatibilities with .Net 4) 
3) Removed all previous instances and any traces of SQL (2005 and 2008) and the pre-check reveals no instances installed
4) Removed all C++ software and re-installed them (as some forums said it was do to a C++ corruption)

I’m not sure if this is significant but I was able to install SQL 2008 R2 Express x86 version. Unfortunately Act! is looking for a x64 version on my x64 machine so I am still stuck. Another small quirk is the fact that I cannot view the «configuration
report» to see that my computer meets all the requirements before the install in the x64 version, yet, I could in the x86 version. I assume it can since it automatically starts after the auto-check.
