Procedure

Execute

Component

Control[005-221]. Actuate the DADF Tray Size 1 Sensor with paper. The

display changes.

Check the connections of

P/J771

and P/J759.

rectly.

Connect

P/J771

and P/J759.

Check the wire between J771 and J759 for an open circuit or a short circuit (BSD 5.1

2). The wire between J771 and J759 is conducting without an open circuit or

a short circuit.

Repair the open circuit or short circuit.

Measure the voltage between the DADF PWB P759-3 (+) and GND (-) (BSD 5.1

The voltage is approx. +5VDC.

Replace the DADF PWB

15.3).

Measure the voltage between the DADF PWB P759-2 (+) and GND (-) (BSD 5.1

Actuate the DADF Tray Size 1 Sensor with paper. The voltage changes.

wc5225 with 005-196 error

Going on call tomorrow unless i can call customer and resolve over phone. Looked in SM but wondering if this is usually something simple like a customer error in using doc feeder or loading tray. Sm mentions checking wires and voltages and dadf tray 1 or tray 2 sensor prob. Any advice is appreciated. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

1. Dirt/dusted sensors (on the ADF original table, there’s two of them).
2. Something is blocking the sensor while ADF is working (usually right of two on the top). For example, stack of A4 sheets loaded in the ADF and another stack not copying in the meaning time laying on the right side of table, blocking sensor that is to the right.

Thank you Corder. When I got there the machine was not showing an error code.Checked fault history in machine status but nothing there. Machine needed toner which i had with me. Strange thing is i put in new 106r001304 which is metered cartridge that this machine requires. When machine went into ready the supplies status showed only 1% though cartridge was new and full. Machine was running okay but afraid i may get a call about toner very soon.Frank

005-196, 198, 199, 946, 948, 949, 950 Size Mismatch Jam RAP

BSD-ON: BSD 5.5 Document Feeding (2 of 2)

005-196 The 2nd sheet or later of the set was detected to be of a different size to the 1st sheet.
005-198 The length of the vertical scanning direction is less than the specified value, simplex 85mm (3.3 inches), duplex 110mm (4.3 inches).
005-199 The length of vertical scanning direction is the specified value or more, simplex 1275mm (50.1 inches), duplex 480.1mm (18.9 inches).
005-946 In no mix mode, a document with a shorter size in slow scan (SS) direction was fed.
005-948 In no mix mode, a document with a shorter size in slow scan (SS) direction was fed.
005-949 In no mix mode, a document with a longer size in slow scan (SS) direction was fed.
005-950 In no mix mode, a document with a longer size in slow scan (SS) direction was fed.

Procedure

WARNING: Ensure that the electricity to the machine is switched off while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Refer to GP 10. Disconnect the power cord. Electricity can cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.

Refer to the procedure that follows as necessary:

• GP 7 How to Check a Sensor.

Perform the steps that follow:

1. Check the size of the document that was fed by the user.
2. Enter dC330. Check the sensors that follow:

• Code 005-206, DADF pre registration sensor, PL 5.70 Item 3.
• Code 005-221, tray size sensor 1, PL 5.55 Item 6.
• Code 005-222, tray size sensor 2, PL 5.55 Item 6.

3. If the fault persists, install a new DADF PWB, PL 5.10 Item 11.

Застревание оригиналов

Когда в податчике застревает оригинал, аппарат прекращает работу и раздается
предупреждающий сигнал. На экране также появляется соответствующее сообщение.

Note

В конфигурации некоторых моделей податчик оригиналов в стандартную комплектацию

не входит.

Для извлечения застрявшего оригинала выполните следующие действия.

Потяните вверх за переднюю ручку крышки податчика оригиналов и полностью откройте
крышку.

Note

В полностью открытом положении крышка фиксируется. Медленно откройте крышку.
